The best time to book is now. Families often wait until kids are older, but the toddler and early childhood years go fast—and they are some of the most rewarding to document. There is no perfect moment; the perfect moment was probably in the past.

Teenagers are some of my favourite subjects. Getting a genuine expression from a skeptical 14-year-old is a challenge I enjoy. I don't push, I don't pose, and I don't make it awkward. Usually, twenty minutes is all I need to capture a portrait they’ll actually want to share.

Why Focus on Kids Portraiture?
For a decade, I didn't even use the word "family" on my site. My real obsession has always been getting a portrait where a parent says, "That's so her!"
While every session includes the full family photo for the wall, my core goal is capturing a child's true personality before they become self-conscious. I’ve stayed true to this candid, kid-directed style while the industry moved toward styled posing.
